Symbaroum Week (May 1-7, 2022)
It’s a week of Symbaroum in my brain! At least - that’s my intention. I’ll be focusing my RPG attention on Symbaroum and Ruins of Symbaroum and I’ll share whatever seems interesting here on on painful-dm.com.
(I wanted to make last week Warhammer Week, but I kept shifting to stories related to the pandemic and fiction like Station Eleven - back to Coriolis and Symbaroum)

I recently joined Free League Publishing’s League of Free Agents. Being a Free League fan, I can evangelize their games in a more formal way, GM games, and help build the community around their games. I’m thinking that I’ll start learning how to play, read a lot, maybe run the adventure from the starter set for a few people.
Although I have a feeling that I’ll prefer the original Symbaroum ruleset, I’ll also learn how to play Ruins of Symbaroum. Players may adapt easier to Ruins because of their familiarity with 5e D&D. I'll update
Hey all, PaineFull-DM Actual here - although Symbaroum Week went well, things IRL have taken over my attention and I've had to set aside my attention to gaming. I hope to post again this coming week.
I did get a bit of reading and sorting of Symbaroum done. For next week's focus, I'm torn between simply shifting focus to The One Ring, Coriolis, or some thoughts about how to form an RPG group and seeing what worlds that group would like to explore / create together.
